Understanding the display

The interface shows a page header with key statistics, followed by tabbed sections for different link types.

Page header

The header displays the selected page name, URL, and four statistics:

Statistic Description
Internal Inbound Links from other pages on your site pointing to this page
Internal Outbound Links from this page to other pages on your site
External Inbound Links from external websites pointing to this page
External Outbound Links from this page to external websites

Three tabs organise link data:

Tab Contents
Internal Links Inbound and outbound links within your site
External Links Inbound (backlinks) and outbound links to external sites
Opportunities AI-generated link suggestions for both directions
Column Description
Source/Target Page The page linking or being linked to
Anchor Text The clickable text of the link
Type Follow, Nofollow, Sponsored, or UGC
Sync WordPress sync status (if connected)
Actions Edit or delete the link

Using the filters

Project

Select the project containing your content. Only clusters and pages within this project appear in subsequent filters.

Cluster

A cluster groups related topics (pillar content and supporting pages). Select a cluster to narrow the page list.

Page

Select the specific topic or subtopic to analyse. The interface loads all links associated with this page.

Table search

Type in the search box to filter visible links by page name, URL, or anchor text. Matching terms highlight in yellow.

Scanning content

The Scan Content button extracts all links from the live page.

How it works

6.    Click Scan Content on the page header

7.    SERP360 fetches and parses the page HTML

8.    Links within main content are extracted (navigation and footer links are filtered out)

9.    Results replace any previous scan data for this page

Each scan uses 1 credit. Results appear in the Internal and External tabs under Outbound sections.

Finding opportunities

The Find Opportunities button uses AI to suggest links in both directions.

Outbound opportunities

Pages this page should link to. The AI analyses your content and compares it against other pages in your project to find relevant linking targets.

Inbound opportunities

Pages that should link to this page. The AI identifies content elsewhere in your project that would benefit from linking to the current page.

Running an analysis

10. Navigate to the Opportunities tab

11. Click Find Opportunities

12. Wait for processing (typically 15–45 seconds)

13. Review suggestions in both Outbound and Inbound sections

Results show relevance scores. Suggestions below 20% are filtered out automatically.

Finding anchor text

For each opportunity, click Find Anchors to get AI-suggested anchor text phrases.

How anchor suggestions work

14. SERP360 fetches the source page content

15. AI identifies natural phrases that could become links

16. Each suggestion shows the anchor text and surrounding context

17. Click the + button to add the link with that anchor text

Existing links are excluded—the AI avoids suggesting text that already contains a link.

18. Click + Add Link on the page header

19. Enter the target URL

20. Enter the anchor text

21. Select link type and follow type

22. Click Save Link

Click the three-dot menu on any link row and select Edit. Update the fields and save.

Click the three-dot menu and select Delete. Confirm the deletion when prompted.

WordPress sync

Connected WordPress sites can receive link updates automatically.

Sync status indicators

Indicator Meaning
● Green Successfully synced to WordPress
● Amber Pending—queued for sync
● Red Sync failed—click retry to requeue
○ Grey Not synced—no connected WordPress site

Retrying failed syncs

Click the retry icon next to any failed sync status. The link re-enters the queue and processes within 10 minutes.

Troubleshooting

No data found

The selected filters may be too restrictive. Select a different project, cluster, or page. Verify the page has a valid URL.

Scan Content returns few links

The page may have links in navigation or footer areas that are filtered out. Only main content links are extracted.

Find Opportunities times out

Large clusters with many pages require more processing time. The system retries automatically. If issues persist, try again in a few minutes.

Anchor suggestions seem basic

The AI prioritises natural-sounding phrases from existing content. If the source page has limited relevant text, suggestions are constrained to what exists.

WordPress sync keeps failing

Check that the WordPress plugin is active and the site URL matches. The sync endpoint must be accessible from SERP360 servers.

Duplicate badge showing incorrectly

Duplicates are detected by URL. Different anchor texts linking to the same URL count as duplicates.

FAQ

Can multiple users work on the same project?

Yes. Link data is shared across users with project access. Changes sync across all sessions.

Why are some links marked as duplicates?

Linking to the same URL multiple times from one page is flagged. While sometimes intentional, duplicates often indicate opportunities to consolidate.

How often should content be scanned?

Scan after significant content updates. For stable content, monthly scans are sufficient. For frequently updated pages, scan after each major edit.

What happens to existing links when scanning?

Scanning replaces outbound links for that page. Inbound links and manually added links from other pages are preserved.

Can link opportunities be ignored?

Opportunities are suggestions only. Leave them in the list or add them—there is no dismiss action. Running Find Opportunities again regenerates the list.
