Top Cited Pages
Top Cited Pages shows which web pages AI platforms cite most often in response to tracked conversation prompts—revealing which content earns AI visibility and which domains dominate the results.
Quick start
1. Open the AI Visibility section and allow the page to load
2. Set the date range, persona, and platform using the global filter bar
3. Set Scope to All Citations to see the full citation landscape, then narrow to Your Brand URLs to focus on owned pages
4. Review the ranked list—rank 1 is the most-cited page within the selected filters
5. Check the platform bars on each row to see which AI platforms drove the most citations for that page
Understanding the display
Each row represents a specific URL that has been cited in AI responses during the selected period. Rows are ranked by total citations, with the most-cited page at position 1. Up to ten pages are displayed at a time.

The URL and domain appear at the top of each row. Below them, the conversations count shows how many distinct tracked prompts generated at least one citation to that page. Pages marked Your Brand are recognised as belonging to the configured brand.
The platform section shows a bar for each tracked AI platform. Each bar represents that platform's share of total citations for the page—making it easy to identify which AI platforms are driving visibility for a given URL.
Rank
Pages are ranked by total citation count within the selected filters. Where two pages have equal citation counts, the one cited across more distinct conversations ranks higher.
Conversations count
This shows how many distinct tracked conversation prompts generated at least one citation to the page. A page with a high citation count but low conversation count was cited repeatedly by a small number of prompts. A high conversation count indicates broader relevance across different queries.
Your Brand badge
Pages with a Your Brand badge were identified as belonging to the configured brand based on the domain. This badge appears regardless of the Scope filter—it is a display indicator, not a filter condition.
What should I do next?
Use citation patterns and scope filters together to direct action:
| What you see | Action |
| Brand pages ranking highly (All Citations view) | Strong AI visibility for owned content. Monitor for consistency and protect the content on those pages. |
| Competitor pages dominate the top results | Review what topics those pages cover and assess whether brand content addresses the same queries. |
| Brand URLs view returns few or no results | Brand pages are not being cited. Check whether brand content is published and accessible, and whether the brand configuration is complete. |
| A page has high citations but low conversations | That page is cited heavily by a small number of prompts. Consider whether that concentration is intentional or whether broader coverage is needed. |
| No results shown | Expand the date range, set Scope to All Citations, and verify that brand configuration is complete. |
Using the filters
Top Cited Pages responds to both the global filter bar shared across AI Visibility and two per-component filters: Citation Position and Scope.
Global filter bar
| Filter | What it controls |
| Date range | The period for citation data. Options: 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, 180 days, or a custom range. |
| Persona | Limits results to citations generated under a specific buyer persona configuration. |
| Platform | Limits results to a single AI platform or shows all platforms combined. |
| Phase | Filters by journey phase (such as awareness or consideration). |
| Provider Position | Filters by brand prominence as a recommended source. "Any" includes all positions. "Top 3" limits to responses where the brand appeared in the top three providers. "Primary" limits to responses where the brand was the leading recommendation. |
Citation Position
Controls which citations are counted based on their position within an AI response.
| Option | What it includes |
| Any Citation | All citations regardless of position in the response |
| Top 3 Citations | Only citations that appeared within the first three in the response |
| Primary Citation | Only citations that appeared first in the response |
Scope
Scope controls which pages appear in the results. This is the most impactful filter for focusing analysis on brand-owned content versus the broader citation landscape.
| Option | What it shows |
| All Citations | Every cited page regardless of domain—brand pages, competitor pages, and third-party sources |
| Your Brand Mentions | Pages cited in responses where the brand was named or mentioned as a provider |
| Your Brand URLs | Only pages from brand-owned domains, based on URL matching against the configured brand name |
All Citations is the recommended starting point for competitive analysis. Your Brand URLs is the fastest way to assess brand content performance in AI responses.
Troubleshooting
No pages shown
The selected filters are too restrictive, or no citations exist for the chosen period.
• Expand the date range
• Set Scope to All Citations
• Set Citation Position to Any Citation
• Set Provider Position (global bar) to Any
• Verify that brand configuration is complete in account settings
Your Brand URLs returns no results
Brand URL matching uses the configured brand name to identify owned domains. If the brand name is not set or is set incorrectly, no URLs are recognised as brand-owned.
• Switch to All Citations to confirm that citation data exists
• Check whether any rows in All Citations carry a Your Brand badge—if none do, the brand configuration needs updating
• Contact support to review brand configuration if the badge is not appearing on known brand pages
Expected pages are missing
Pages only appear when they have been cited at least once under the applied filters.
• Broaden Citation Position to Any Citation
• Broaden Scope to All Citations
• Check the phase and persona filters—pages cited in other phases or personas will not appear if those filters are active
Platform bars look unexpected
Platform bars show each platform's share of total citations for that page—not raw citation counts. A platform with fewer total runs may show a higher percentage if the brand page is cited in a larger proportion of those runs.
• Filter by a specific platform to isolate its data
• Review the total citations and conversations count for context on underlying volume
FAQ
What is the difference between Your Brand Mentions and Your Brand URLs?
Your Brand Mentions filters by responses where the brand was cited as a provider or source—based on the brand name appearing in the response. Your Brand URLs filters by the URL itself—showing only pages from brand-owned domains. A brand mention may not always include a direct URL, and a brand URL may appear in contexts where the brand name was not the primary recommendation.
Why does a page appear in All Citations but not in Your Brand URLs?
URL matching is based on the configured brand name. If the domain does not contain the brand name (for example, a separate microsite or acquired domain), it will not be recognised automatically. The Your Brand badge on each row confirms which pages have been identified as brand-owned.
How are pages ranked when citation counts are equal?
When two pages have the same total citation count, the page cited across more distinct conversations ranks higher. This reflects broader relevance across different prompts rather than concentration within a few.
Can the data be exported?
Top Cited Pages does not include a built-in export. Contact support for data export options.
Why are only ten pages shown?
The component displays the top ten pages by citation count within the selected filters. Adjust filters to surface different pages within the dataset.
