Content Pipeline
The Content Pipeline shows how much content is published versus draft—giving an instant view of production progress across topics and subtopics.
Quick start
1. Navigate to Content Analysis
2. Select a project from the dropdown
3. View the Content Pipeline panel
4. Check the badge for overall published percentage
5. Hover over bar segments for exact counts
Understanding the display

The Content Pipeline uses horizontal stacked bars to show publication status. Each row represents a content type, with the bar divided into published (teal) and draft (red) segments proportional to their counts.
Content rows
| Row | Shows |
| Topics | Parent content items (pillar pages, main articles) |
| Subtopics | Child content items (supporting pages, sub-articles) |
Bar segments
| Colour | Status | Meaning |
| Teal | Published | Content is live |
| Red | Draft | Content is not yet published |
Status badge
The badge displays the overall published percentage across all content. It changes colour based on progress:
| Percentage | Indication |
| Below 33% | Early stage—most content still in draft |
| 33–66% | In progress—publication underway |
| Above 66% | Strong progress—majority published |
What should I do next?
| Observation | Action |
| Large red segment in Topics | Prioritise publishing pillar content—these are foundational pages. |
| Large red segment in Subtopics | Review draft subtopics. Publish those supporting already-live topics. |
| Topics mostly published, Subtopics mostly draft | Content structure exists but supporting pages are incomplete. Focus on subtopic completion. |
| Both rows mostly teal | Publication is on track. Monitor for new draft content. |
| Badge below 33% | Publication backlog is significant. Identify blockers and prioritise high-value content. |
Using the filters
Project
Select a project to view its publication status. When no project is selected, the pipeline shows aggregate data across all accessible projects in the current workspace.
Cluster
Filter to a specific cluster to see publication status for just that content pillar. This helps identify which clusters are ready for launch and which need more work.
Interactive features
Hover over any bar segment to see the exact count and percentage. Tooltips display "Published: X (Y%)" or "Draft: X (Y%)".
Percentage labels appear inside bar segments when they are wide enough (above 15% of the row). Narrow segments show percentages only on hover.
Troubleshooting
No data available
The empty state appears when no topics or subtopics exist in the selected scope. Create content or adjust filters to see data.
Loading spinner persists
If the spinner does not resolve, refresh the page. Persistent loading indicates a connection issue or session timeout.
Counts seem incorrect
The pipeline counts topics and subtopics separately. A single cluster may contain many subtopics under few topics—this is expected. Verify by checking individual content items.
Badge not appearing
The badge hides when no data is available. Select a project with content to display the badge.
FAQ
What is the difference between topics and subtopics?
Topics are parent content items—typically pillar pages or main articles. Subtopics are child items that support a parent topic, providing deeper coverage of specific aspects.
How is the overall percentage calculated?
The badge shows total published content divided by total content (topics plus subtopics combined). It is not an average of the two rows.
Can I see historical publication progress?
The Content Pipeline shows current status only. Historical tracking is not available in this view.
Why do percentages not appear in narrow segments?
Percentage labels only display when a segment is wide enough to fit the text cleanly (above 15% of the bar). Hover over narrow segments to see their values.
