Export Conversion Report

Export report produces a downloadable copy of the current Conversion Performance selection, as an Excel workbook or a printable report. The export is a fixed snapshot of the data already loaded on the dashboard: it runs no new analysis and makes no fresh request.

Every export carries its own scope panel, so a file opened weeks later still states the website, path, period and filters it was built from.

Export a report

  1. Set the website, path, dates and filters on the dashboard.
  2. Select Export report.
  3. Check the scope shown at the top of the drawer.
  4. Tick the sections to include under Include in report.
  5. Choose Excel workbook (.xlsx) or Printable report (.html).
  6. Select Preview report to open the printable version in a new tab, or Download Excel to save the file.

The status line reports how many sections are selected and how many detail rows the file will contain. At least one section is required before either button becomes available.

Choose sections

Section What it contains
Conversion overview Headline measures, configured values by currency, and value and outcome coverage
Performance over time Daily readings for the selected period and its comparison, plus daily configured values
Required steps and paths taken Step outcomes by path version, observed routes, route detail and route coverage
Channels, campaigns and attribution Entry channel and campaign tables, their configured values, and first and last touch credits with coverage
Channel sequences, time, visits and devices Touchpoint sequences, days to convert, sessions to convert and completion devices

Detail sections report the selected period. Where a previous-period comparison is available it appears in the overview and daily tables, and the scope panel records it.

The export includes every row behind each selected section, not only the rows visible on screen. Two differences follow from that. The days to convert and sessions to convert tables export exact counts rather than the dashboard's bands, and channel sequences export in full regardless of the Touches filter set on the dashboard.

Choose a format

Excel workbook produces one sheet per selected section plus a Report scope sheet, with counts, rates, dates and currency amounts as numbers you can work with. Sheet names follow the dashboard's panel names rather than the section labels in the drawer, so Required steps and paths taken arrives as Conversion funnel, and Channels, campaigns and attribution as Acquisition performance.

Printable report produces a single self-contained page of tables and definitions. It contains no dashboard screenshots and no charts. Open it and use the browser's own print command to print it or save it as a PDF.

Preview report always opens the printable version, whichever format is selected. If the browser blocks the new tab, download the printable report instead.

How to read an exported file

Each table carries the notes that appear beneath its dashboard panel, so the definitions travel with the figures. The scope panel records the publication the file was built from, which identifies the version of the data rather than the moment of download.

Unavailable values are labelled as unavailable throughout. They are gaps in the evidence and never zeros, and a missing previous-period value is not a fall to nothing.

The counting rules described in the Conversion Performance guide apply to the file exactly as they do on screen. Journey counts include repeat attempts, converting sessions are counted once, and configured values are the amounts configured against the conversion rather than verified revenue.

Troubleshooting

Export report is unavailable

The drawer needs a loaded dashboard selection. Wait for the panels to finish loading, or retry the selection using the dashboard controls first.

The drawer closed when I changed a filter

Changing the selection, switching workspace or navigating invalidates the captured snapshot, so the drawer closes rather than exporting figures that no longer match. Reopen it once the dashboard has reloaded.

The report is too large to create

The selection contains too many detail rows, or a single field exceeds what a spreadsheet cell can hold. Choose a shorter date range, a single conversion path or fewer sections, then export again.

The preview did not open

The browser blocked the new tab. Download the printable report instead, then open the saved file.

The exported numbers differ from the dashboard

Check the scope panel. The file is a snapshot of the publication loaded when it was created, so a later export can differ once new data has been published. Distribution tables also export exact counts where the dashboard shows bands.

A section arrived empty

The section reports no records for that selection. The file states this rather than omitting the table, so the absence is visible in the saved copy.
