AI Visibility Performance Overview

AI Visibility Performance Overview gives you six headline measures for the selected AI Visibility dashboard scope. Use it for a quick status check and to compare the current period with the immediately preceding period of the same length.

Open Performance Overview

Open AI Visibility Dashboard, select a Project, and use the global filters. Performance Overview appears at the top of the dashboard.

Understand the six measures

Measure What it shows
Brand Visibility The percentage of evaluated AI answers that mention one of Your Brands at the selected Provider Position.
Share of Voice Your Brands appearances as a share of appearances by Your Brands and the selected comparison brands.
Top Recommendation Rate The percentage of evaluated answers where one of Your Brands is the first stored provider mention.
Cited Answer Rate The percentage of brand-mentioned answers containing at least one citation. The citation does not necessarily support or endorse the brand.
Owned Website Evidence The percentage of brand-mentioned answers linking to a configured brand website.
Third-party Evidence The percentage of brand-mentioned answers with a brand-associated citation on a website outside the configured brand domains. This does not imply positive endorsement.

The first three measures describe visibility and recommendation position. The last three describe citation evidence associated with qualifying brand mentions.

Compare periods

Each tile shows the current result and its movement in percentage points, shown as pp. Select a tile to see:

  • the current and previous percentages;
  • the matching count and total measured for each period;
  • the change in percentage points; and
  • the metric definition.

The comparison period immediately precedes the current period and has the same number of calendar days. If the two periods do not contain the same monitored questions and platforms, the dashboard marks the comparison as not directly comparable or indicative. Treat the movement as context rather than a like-for-like performance change.

Apply filters

Project, Date Range, Journey Phase, Configuration and Platform change the measured response population. Provider Position directly changes Brand Visibility and the qualifying brand-mentioned answers used by the evidence measures. Top Recommendation Rate always concerns the first stored provider mention.

Changing Your Brands, Default Competitors or configured brand websites can also change the measures, including historical periods.

Export KPI data

Select Export KPI data to download a CSV containing every metric, both periods, matching and total counts, the percentage-point change, whether the comparison is like for like, and the definition.

Interpret the measures together

  • High Brand Visibility with low Top Recommendation Rate means the brand appears often but is rarely placed first.
  • Rising Share of Voice means Your Brands account for more of the appearances within the selected comparison set.
  • High Cited Answer Rate with low Owned Website Evidence means answers are sourced, but your own website is seldom used.
  • Third-party Evidence can show external corroboration or discussion, but it does not prove favourable coverage.

Open the related detailed module before deciding why a measure moved. The detailed charts provide daily trends, platform splits and counts that a headline tile cannot show.

If something does not look right

  • Add at least one name under Your Brands if brand measures are unavailable.
  • Associate the project with the correct monitored website if owned and third-party evidence cannot be separated.
  • Open a tile and check the counts; a large percentage movement can be based on few answers.
  • Check the comparison warning before treating a change as like for like.
  • Confirm the intended competitor companies in AI Visibility Settings if Share of Voice differs from expectations.
