Content Repurposing

Content Repurposing turns a Content Bank topic or subtopic into source-grounded posts for LinkedIn or X.

Overview

Content Repurposing reads the source content, identifies several distinct social angles and writes platform-specific posts from the angles you select.

You can:

  • Start with LinkedIn or X
  • Review and select suggested angles
  • Generate several standalone posts
  • Edit a post before using it
  • Regenerate one post or restart the complete set
  • Copy a post
  • Save a post to the Action Board
  • Generate posts for the other platform from the same source analysis

Content Repurposing does not publish to LinkedIn or X. Copy the finished post into the relevant platform or move it through your team’s Action Board workflow.

Access and scope

Content Repurposing starts from a topic or subtopic in Content Bank.

  1. Open Content Bank.
  2. Select the correct workspace and project.
  3. Open a topic or subtopic.
  4. Select Repurpose for LinkedIn or Repurpose for X.

The project, workspace and source item are checked before generation. The tool cannot use a Content Bank record from a project or workspace that the signed-in account cannot access.

Source content requirements

Content Repurposing needs enough source material to produce grounded posts.

When the Content Bank item has a URL

Wheremore uses the URL saved against that Content Bank item and retrieves the page content. The requested URL must match the saved source URL.

If the source URL is wrong or out of date, update it in Content Bank before starting again.

When the item has no URL

Paste the source content into the repurposing panel. Provide at least 300 words so Wheremore has enough material to analyse.

Pasted text is used as source material; it is not published or added to the connected website.

Quick start

  1. Open a Content Bank topic or subtopic.
  2. Select Repurpose for LinkedIn or Repurpose for X.
  3. Wait while Wheremore reads and analyses the source.
  4. Review the suggested social angles.
  5. Keep the angles you want and clear any you do not want.
  6. Select Generate posts.
  7. Review, edit or regenerate each result.
  8. Copy the finished posts or add them to the Action Board.
  9. If required, select Also do X or Also do LinkedIn.

How Wheremore processes the source

The workflow has three stages:

  1. Source understanding: Wheremore retrieves or reads the content and identifies its supported facts, arguments and useful details.
  2. Angle generation: Wheremore proposes platform-appropriate ways to present the source.
  3. Post generation: Wheremore writes posts for the selected angles.

Retrieving a webpage and analysing it can take around 15–20 seconds, and sometimes longer. Keep the panel open while a progress message is displayed and avoid starting the same request repeatedly.

The analysis is bound to the selected Content Bank record. It cannot be reused with an unrelated URL or source item.

Choose social angles

After analysing the source, Wheremore displays a set of suggested angles. All available angles can initially be selected.

Clear any angle that is not useful, then generate posts from the remaining selection. At least one angle must remain selected.

The angle is a framing device. It does not authorise Wheremore to invent evidence, experiences or claims that are absent from the source.

LinkedIn angles

LinkedIn suggestions can include:

  • Contrarian take: Challenges a common assumption using evidence in the source.
  • Practical framework: Converts the source into a useful method or decision process.
  • Pain point: Focuses on a recognisable problem and its implications.
  • Source insight: Highlights a strong fact, finding or argument from the source.
  • Field observation: Frames a supported pattern or practical observation.

LinkedIn posts are written as standalone, platform-native posts rather than article summaries. Wheremore aims to use concrete details from the source and varies the structure between posts.

Hashtags are not added by default. They should appear only when the source and project context support a genuinely useful industry convention.

X angles

X suggestions can include:

  • Sharp claim
  • Myth-buster
  • Practical tip
  • One-line insight
  • Mini-framework

Each X post must fit within 280 characters, including spaces, punctuation, emojis and line breaks. The result card displays a character count.

If an edited X post exceeds the limit, shorten it before adding it to the Action Board.

Review generated posts

Each result card shows:

  • The platform
  • The selected angle or archetype
  • The generated post
  • A character count for X
  • Controls to regenerate, copy or add the result to the Action Board
  • An Edited marker when you change the text

Treat every result as working copy. Check that it:

  • Represents the source accurately
  • Fits the selected platform
  • Makes sense without the original article beside it
  • Uses the correct project voice
  • Avoids unsupported claims
  • Does not imply personal or client experience that the source does not establish
  • Includes an appropriate next step, when one is useful

Edit a post

Select the post text to edit it directly.

When you finish editing, leave the field to retain the current version in the open panel. Press Escape while editing to cancel and restore the previous text.

An edited post is still temporary until you copy it or save it to the Action Board. Reloading the page or restarting the analysis can discard on-screen edits.

Regenerate one post

Use the try-again control on a result card to create a replacement for that post using the same angle.

If the current post has been edited, Wheremore asks before discarding those changes.

Use individual regeneration when the angle is useful but the wording or structure is not.

Restart the complete set

Use the regeneration control in the platform heading to discard the current on-screen set and create fresh angles.

Wheremore asks for confirmation when the current set contains edited or saved results. Posts already saved to the Action Board remain there, but unsaved on-screen versions are replaced.

Use this option when the proposed angles are too similar, miss the most useful source material or do not suit the campaign.

Create posts for the other platform

After generating the first set, select:

  • Also do X, when you started with LinkedIn
  • Also do LinkedIn, when you started with X

Wheremore reuses the existing source understanding and creates angles suited to the second platform. It does not simply shorten or lengthen the first platform’s copy.

Review the second set independently because conventions and length limits differ.

Copy a post

Use the copy control to place the current visible text on the clipboard.

If you edited the post, the edited version is copied. Copying does not save the post in Wheremore and does not publish it.

Add a post to the Action Board

Select Add to Action Board to create a persistent social-post task.

The card records the platform, angle, current post text and its Content Bank source. If you edited the copy, the edited version is saved.

The Board card is created as a social-post task with a normal workflow status. Use it to:

  • Assign an owner
  • Set timing and priority
  • Coordinate editorial approval
  • Record publication activity
  • Keep the source and final copy together

Saving the same generated post more than once does not intentionally create duplicate cards; Wheremore can return the existing matching card.

Adding a post to the Board does not publish it to a social network.

How brand voice is used

When the selected project has audience or brand-voice settings, Wheremore uses them to guide:

  • Tone
  • Rhythm and sentence style
  • Vocabulary
  • Spelling and localisation
  • Calls to action
  • The level of explanation

Brand voice shapes how supported information is expressed. It does not take priority over the source and cannot authorise invented facts, statistics, anecdotes, client stories, personal experience or private data.

If no detailed brand voice is available, Wheremore follows the source and platform conventions.

Credits and temporary results

Content Repurposing uses AI at several stages. Source analysis, angle generation, post generation and regeneration can each use credits.

Avoid repeatedly restarting a request while it is still running.

Generated angles and posts are working results associated with the current analysis session. They are not a permanent content library. For anything you want to retain:

  • Copy it to your working document, or
  • Add it to the Action Board

If an analysis expires, start again from the Content Bank item.

Publishing and outcome measurement

Wheremore does not connect the generated result directly to LinkedIn or X for automatic publishing.

After editorial approval:

  1. Copy the final post or take it from the Action Board card.
  2. Publish it through the appropriate social account or scheduling tool.
  3. Record completion in the team workflow.
  4. Review platform analytics manually.

Content Repurposing does not currently provide an automatic outcome metric for impressions, engagement, clicks or conversions. Where your workflow supports it, record publication and results on the Action Board.

What should I do next?

  • The angles look useful: Select the best ones and generate posts.
  • One post is nearly right: Edit it directly.
  • The angle is right but the copy is weak: Regenerate that post.
  • The complete set misses the point: Restart with fresh angles.
  • You need the other platform: Use Also do X or Also do LinkedIn.
  • The post is ready for team review: Add it to the Action Board.
  • The post is ready to publish now: Copy it and use the authorised social account or scheduling tool.

Troubleshooting

Repurposing controls are unavailable

Confirm that you opened a topic or subtopic in Content Bank and still have access to its project in the active workspace.

The source URL is rejected

The URL must be the one saved against the Content Bank item. Update the item’s URL in Content Bank, save it and try again.

Wheremore cannot retrieve the webpage

Confirm that the page is publicly accessible and the saved URL is correct. Some sites block automated content retrieval. If the item has no usable URL, use a source record that allows pasted content and provide at least 300 words.

Pasted content is rejected

Provide at least 300 words of meaningful source content rather than navigation, repeated boilerplate or a short summary.

Source analysis takes a long time

Keep the panel open while progress is shown. Avoid submitting the same request again. Larger pages and external retrieval can take longer than the usual estimate.

No angles are selected

Select at least one angle before generating posts.

The generated post contains an unsupported statement

Do not use it. Edit the claim so it is supported by the source or regenerate the post, then verify the replacement.

An X post cannot be added to the Board

Check the character count. The final edited post must be no more than 280 characters.

Edits disappeared

On-screen edits are temporary. Copy the result or add it to the Action Board before reloading, closing the panel or restarting the analysis.

Regeneration would discard changes

Copy or save anything you want to keep, then confirm regeneration.

The analysis run expired

Reopen the Content Bank item and start a new repurposing run.

Add to Action Board returns an existing card

The same generated recommendation has already been saved. Open the existing card rather than creating a duplicate.

The post was added to the Board but not published

This is expected. The Board stores and tracks the task; it does not publish to LinkedIn or X.

Frequently asked questions

Can I repurpose any URL?

Not directly from this workflow. The source must be a Content Bank topic or subtopic, and any URL must be saved against that record.

Can I paste content instead?

Yes, when the source record has no URL. Supply at least 300 words.

Does Wheremore post to LinkedIn or X?

No.

Can I edit generated posts?

Yes. Copy or save the edited result before leaving the session.

Can I create both LinkedIn and X posts?

Yes. Start with either platform and then select the option to generate for the other one.

Does it use the project brand voice?

Yes, when brand-voice and audience settings are available. Source accuracy remains the higher priority.

Are the generated posts saved automatically?

No. Copy them or add them to the Action Board.

Does regenerating use credits?

Yes. AI generation and regeneration can consume credits.

Does Add to Action Board publish the post?

No. It creates a workflow task and retains the post and its source context.

Does Wheremore measure social performance?

Not automatically in this feature. Review platform results and record them through the team’s normal process.
