User Behaviour Page Performance

Page performance on the User Behaviour dashboard lists each selected page with its sessions, time, scroll depth, clicks, revisits and rage clicks, so you can compare pages side by side. With All pages selected, it lists every page on the website.

Page performance columns

Column Meaning
Page The page address. It opens the page in a new tab.
Sessions Visits to the page in the period.
Avg. time Time recorded on the page, divided by sessions.
Avg. scroll How far down the page sessions scrolled, on average.
Clicks/session Clicks divided by sessions. Each click counts.
Revisit rate The share of recorded visits to the page that came back to an area of it.
Rage-click sessions Sessions with several quick clicks on the same element or spot. Shown in red when there are any.
Conversion outcome Shown only with conversion comparison on. The completion rate, for example "57.1% completed", with the attempt counts beneath, for example "4 completed · 3 not completed attempts".

A dash (—) means the value is not available for this selection. For Rage-click sessions, it usually means the period starts before rage-click tracking. "No outcome recorded" in Conversion outcome means no attempt with a confirmed outcome reached the page.

Page performance with a single traffic source

With a single traffic source selected on the User Behaviour dashboard, Sessions and Clicks/session are filtered to that source. Avg. scroll still includes visits from every source, and Avg. time is not a reliable figure for that source. Use All traffic sources when you compare these columns.

Common misreadings of Page performance

Belief Correction
A dash in Rage-click sessions means no rage clicks. It means rage clicks are not available for the selected period.
Completed and not completed are different from Converted and Dropped off. They are the same two groups used in Conversion comparison.
Clicks/session is the share of visitors who clicked. It counts every click. One visitor can click many times.
A higher Avg. time is always better. A short visit can mean the page answered the question quickly.
Adding up Sessions gives the number of visitors to the website. One visit to several pages is counted on each page.
Avg. scroll shows how much content visitors saw. It shows how far they scrolled, not what was on screen.
