Keyword Performance
Keyword performance lists your tracked keywords with their current position, period average and change from the comparison period. The Opportunities tab finds keywords where you and at least one selected competitor are outside the top 10.
What you can do
Filter the list by ranking change, search it, sort it and open a keyword's ranking history. From any row you can request a screenshot of the search result.
The card has two tabs:
| Tab | Purpose |
|---|---|
| All keywords | Review current rankings and changes from the comparison period. |
| Opportunities | Find keywords where your site and at least one selected competitor stayed outside the top 10 during the selected period. |
The table lists keywords with a result on the latest date or the comparison date.
Changing a dashboard filter returns the card to All keywords, clears the search and resets sorting. Switching tab also clears the search and resets sorting.
Review all keywords
The date of the results appears at the top right, for example Results as at 15 Sep 2026.
Filter by ranking change
Four counts sit above the table:
| Count | Keywords included |
|---|---|
| Improved | Ranked on both comparison dates and moved up |
| Declined | Ranked on both comparison dates and moved down |
| Newly ranking | Rank now but did not rank on the comparison date, including when that date has no result |
| No longer ranking | Ranked on the comparison date but do not rank now, including when the latest date has no result |
Select a count to show only those keywords. Select it again to show all keywords.
Search and sort
Type in Filter keywords to narrow the list; results update as you type. The count at the right shows how many keywords match.
Select a column heading to sort by it, and select it again to reverse the order. The table is sorted by Position by default. Ranking page cannot be sorted. Sorting Change from lowest lists the largest declines first.
Rows per page is 25 by default.

Open a keyword's ranking history
Select a row, or its arrow, to open Ranking history · [keyword]. Keyboard users can focus the row and press Enter or Space.
The chart shows your website's daily position across the selected period, labelled with your domain. Position 1 is at the top, and a dashed line marks Page one.
When your selected competitors have data for the keyword, a dashed Competitors average line shows their average position for each date. Only competitors selected for the market and search engine are included.
Where a day has no ranking, including days when the keyword was not ranking, the line joins the days either side.
Select the row again to close the chart. Only one history is open at a time.
Add notes to a keyword
Click inside the ranking history chart to add a dated note for that keyword. Enter a label of up to 120 characters and select Save. Select a note's label to delete it.
Keyword notes are separate from Visibility trend notes. Permissions are workspace-based, so everyone with access to the market sees these notes and can delete them. Notes can be added only for active markets.
Find opportunities
Select Opportunities. The date range appears at the top right.
A keyword appears when both of these are true in the selected period:
- Your website's best position was outside the top 10, or it did not rank.
- At least one selected competitor's best position was outside the top 10.
Only competitors selected for the market and search engine are considered. A keyword appears only if at least one of them has ranking data for it in the period, and the keyword has a result on the latest date in the period.
Read the opportunity columns
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Keyword | The tracked keyword |
| Best position in period | Your best position in the selected period, or Not ranking |
| Current position | Your latest position |
| Competitors outside top 10 | Each competitor outside the top 10 with its best position, and a count such as 2 of 2 tracked competitors |
| Search volume | Monthly search volume |
| Difficulty | Keyword difficulty |
| Ranking page | Your latest ranking page |
The count under the competitor names covers selected competitors with ranking data for that keyword in the period, so it can be lower than the number of competitors you selected.
The list is sorted by Search volume, highest first; select a column heading to sort by it instead. Type in Filter opportunities to search it. Opportunity rows do not open a ranking history.
Prioritise high-volume keywords with a low difficulty and a best position close to page one.
Get a search result screenshot
Select the camera button on any row to open the screenshot dialog.
- Check the keyword and search engine shown at the top.
- Choose a date. Ranking results from the last seven days are listed as Today, Yesterday or a number of days ago, followed by the date. The dialog also shows the device the result was checked on.
- Choose the results page.
- Select Get screenshot.
The button shows Preparing… while the image is created. The screenshot opens in a new tab. If your browser blocks the new tab, select Open your screenshot in the dialog.
Credits and availability
Screenshots use credits from the workspace's credit balance. Credits are used only when an image is returned. If the balance is too low, the dialog shows There are not enough workspace credits to create this screenshot.
If you request the same keyword, date and page again within 20 hours, the same image reopens without a further charge.
The image link stays available for 24 hours. Save the image if you need it for longer.
Screenshots are available only for active markets.
Page-conflict flags
A ⇄ button in a row means a potential page conflict was detected for that keyword, or that saved page-conflict analyses exist. See Page conflicts and Cannibalisation analysis.
Export keyword data
Use Export report in the dashboard controls. The export includes every keyword in scope, whatever search or ranking-change filter is applied here.
