Managing Domains and Websites

Add the websites whose keywords and markets you want to manage in Wheremore. The Manage Keywords page calls a tracked domain a website.

Open website management

1. Select the workspace that should contain the website.
2. Open Manage Keywords.
3. Select Manage websites & categories below the Website selector.

The Websites section lists websites in the active workspace. The count beside each website is its number of saved keywords. Use the page's Website selector to show one website or All websites across the Keywords and Markets tabs. Selecting one website also enables its category controls.

Add a website

1. In Manage websites & categories, enter a domain such as example.com   under Websites. Do not enter a page address or path.
2. Select Add.

Website added. confirms the new entry. It appears in the website list and selector. Wheremore removes a leading http://   or https://   when you enter one. A website with the same domain cannot be added twice to one workspace; the same domain can have a separate record in another workspace.

The new website has no keywords or markets. Add keywords on the Keywords tab, then add an active market on the Markets tab when you want ranking checks to begin. Adding a website alone does not start ranking collection.

Remove a website

Only the website owner can remove its record. Remove all of the website's markets first; Wheremore blocks website deletion while any remain. Deleting a market removes its ranking history and competitor selections, so review those effects before proceeding.

1. Select the website in Website and check its markets on the Markets tab.
2. Delete each market that you no longer need. If a market is used by Alert Manager, change that alert's market scope before deleting it.
3. Open Manage websites & categories.
4. Select the delete icon beside the website and confirm the prompt.

The website disappears from this workspace's list. When no other workspace uses its record, its keywords and website-specific categories are deleted with it. If an older website record is shared with another workspace, Wheremore removes the current workspace's link and retains that record and its data for the other workspace.

The management panel has no rename control. To correct a domain, add the correct website, recreate the needed keywords and markets, and then remove the incorrect one. Ranking history does not transfer to the replacement.

If something does not look right

A website is missing

Check the active workspace and Website selector, then refresh the page. If Add did not show a success message, check the error and enter a domain without a page path.

The website cannot be deleted

If you see Delete this website’s markets before deleting the website., remove its markets first. If you see Only the domain owner can delete it., ask the website owner to complete the removal.

No rankings appear for a new website

Confirm that it has saved keywords and at least one Active market. Ranking results appear after checks for that market complete.
