Manage Projects

Projects connect a website with the market, language, industry, audience and brand context used by supported Wheremore workflows. Use separate projects when the same website needs a different market or audience context.

Projects belong to the active workspace. The project list and the domains available when creating a project change when you switch workspace.

Before you begin

Select the workspace where the project should be created. The website must already be available as a domain in that workspace.

If the website is missing, open Manage Keywords, select Manage websites & categories, and add it before returning to Manage Projects.

Choose the domain carefully. A project's domain cannot be changed directly after the project is created. Contact Wheremore Support if an existing project needs a controlled domain migration.

Find your way around

Open Manage Projects to see the projects in the active workspace.

The table shows:

A dash means that an optional context field has not been completed. No Domain indicates an invalid or incomplete domain configuration that requires support.

If a project has Primary Audience or Brand Voice Notes, a chevron appears at the start of its row. Select the row to show or hide those details. Rows without either field do not expand.

Create a project

1. Confirm that the required workspace is active.
2. Select Add New Project.
3. Enter a Project Name.
4. Select the required Domain.
5. Add any useful country, language, industry, audience and brand context.
6. Select Add Project.

A confirmation appears and the new project is added to the current workspace's table.

Project Name and Domain are required. The remaining fields are optional.

Add project context

The optional fields provide context to supported analysis and content workflows:

Be specific enough for another person to understand the intended audience and style. For example, “UK company directors comparing accounting software” provides more usable context than “business people”.

These fields supply context where a connected feature supports it. Completing them does not guarantee a particular recommendation and does not itself rerun or replace previously saved analysis.

Use one domain in more than one project

The same domain can be selected for more than one project. This is useful when the website needs distinct country, language or audience contexts.

Each project remains a separate record. Work created for one project does not automatically become part of another project using the same domain.

Edit a project

1. Find the project in the table.
2. Select its pencil icon.
3. Update the project name or optional context fields.
4. Select Update Project.

The domain is shown but locked while editing. It cannot be replaced with another domain from this form. Contact Wheremore Support if the project must be migrated to a different domain.

If Wheremore reports that the project has an invalid domain configuration, saving is disabled. Contact Support before making further changes to that project.

Delete a project

Only an empty project can be deleted directly.

1. Find the project in the table.
2. Select its bin icon.
3. Review the Delete Project confirmation.
4. Select Delete to ask Wheremore to check and delete the project.

Board cards must be permanently removed before the project can be deleted. If the project has other retained project data, direct deletion is blocked and Wheremore Support is required.

Deletion is permanent when it succeeds. Do not assume that deleting a project will preserve or remove information held by connected features; resolve any blocked retained data before proceeding.

Continue with another task

• To add a website that is not available in the domain selector, use Manage Keywords and Manage websites & categories.
• To give supported AI and content workflows more context, complete the project's market, audience and brand fields.
• To use one website for a different market or audience, create another project with the same domain and different context.
• To correct the domain on an existing project, contact Wheremore Support for a controlled migration.

If something does not look right

No domains are available

Confirm that the correct workspace is active. Domains from another workspace are not offered.

If the website has not been added, open Manage Keywords, select Manage websites & categories, and add it. Then return to Manage Projects and try again.

A project is missing

Projects are filtered by the active workspace. Select the workspace in which the project was created and allow the page to reload.

The project row does not expand

Only projects with a saved Primary Audience or Brand Voice Notes value have an expandable row. Use the pencil icon to add one of those fields.

The domain cannot be changed

This is expected for an existing project. Project domains are locked after creation because changing the domain requires a controlled migration. Contact Wheremore Support.

Editing is disabled because of the domain configuration

The project does not have exactly one valid domain connection. Contact Wheremore Support before attempting to update it.

Project deletion is blocked

Only an empty project can be deleted directly. Permanently remove its board cards first. If Wheremore still blocks deletion because other retained project data exists, contact Support.

Projects or domains fail to load

Refresh the page and confirm that a workspace is selected. If the failure continues while other Wheremore pages work normally, contact Support and include the workspace, project or domain involved and the error message shown.

Saving fails

Confirm that:

1. Project Name is completed.
2. A Domain is selected when creating the project.
3. A workspace is selected in the header.
4. You are not attempting to change an existing project's domain.

If saving still fails, keep the error message and contact Support.
